At 413 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along a line extending from near RDU International to near Cary to 6 miles west of Fuquay-Varina. Movement was east at 15 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts of 45 to 50 mph. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Locations impacted include... Raleigh, Cary, Garner, Fuquay-Varina, Clayton, RDU International, Apex, Holly Springs, Morrisville, and Knightdale. This includes the following highways... Interstate 40 between Mile Markers 283 and 314. Interstate 440 between Mile Markers 1 and 16. Interstate 540 between Mile Markers 0 and 24. US 1 between Mile Markers 88 and 101.
