...The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in Kansas... Slate Creek At Wellington affecting Cowley and Sumner Counties. * WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring. * WHERE...Slate Creek at Wellington. * WHEN...Until this morning. * IMPACTS...At 19.0 feet, Flood waters begin to over flow the banks. Minor low land flooding can be expected along the creek. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 2:00 AM CDT Tuesday the stage was 19.1 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to fall to 3.8 feet early Sunday morning. - Flood stage is 19.0 feet.

Recommended Action

Do not drive into flooded areas or go around barricades. Nearly two feet of water will carry most vehicles away. Turn around, don't drown. Additional information is available at www.weather.gov. The next statement will be issued this morning at 800 AM CDT.
