Cropland and field flooding will be more expansive. The creek will swell to around 3/4 of a mile wide in areas. Slate Creek flood waters will pour over the Kansas Turnpike and inundate about a quarter mile of the road around 4 miles south of the Wellington exit. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 1:00 PM CDT Sunday the stage was 23.6 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 24.9 feet this evening. It will then fall below flood stage early tomorrow afternoon. - Flood stage is 19.0 feet.
