* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues. * WHERE...Chase County in east central Kansas... * WHEN...Until 1115 AM CDT. * IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring. Low-water crossings are inundated with water and may not be passable. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 746 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the warned area. Between 2 and 5 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are possible in the warned area. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Cottonwood Falls, Strong City, Bazaar, Elmdale, Matfield Green, Cedar Point, Tallgrass Prairie, Tallgrass Prairie Preserve, Hymer, Saffordville and Wonsevu. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
