* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues. * WHERE...Cottonwood area and Mingus Mountain in Yavapai County in west central Arizona... * WHEN...Until 745 PM MST. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in creeks and normally dry washes is imminent or occurring. Dangerous flooding over low-water crossings. Ponding of water on highways and in urban areas will create hazardous travel conditions. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 554 PM MST, Doppler radar indicated that the heavy rainfall has ended over the Cottonwood area. However, minor flooding remains a threat from earlier heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen. - This includes the following creeks, washes and rivers... Beaver Creek, Oak Creek, Verde River, Dry Beaver Creek, Coyote Spring, Bitter Creek, Cherry Creek, Ash Creek, Blowout Creek and Oak Wash. Additional rainfall amounts up to 0.25 inches are expected over the area. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Cottonwood, Verde Village, Clarkdale, Cornville, Cottonwood Airport, Beaverhead Flat, Bridgeport, Jerome State Historic Park, Jordan, Jerome, Dead Horse Ranch State Park, Bignotti, Tuzigoot National Monument and Mingus Mountain. - This includes the following highways... State Route 260 between mile markers 207 and 210. State Route 89A between mile markers 333 and 358. This includes the following recreation areas andcampgrounds...
