* WHAT...Small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...Southeastern Phillips County in north central Kansas... Northeastern Rooks County in north central Kansas... Southwestern Smith County in north central Kansas... * WHEN...Until 1100 AM CDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 459 AM CDT, Gauge reports along Bow Creek near Stockton indicated runoff from heavy rain and thunderstorms overnight was causing the river to rapidly rise. This will cause small stream flooding near and along Bow Creek. - Additional rainfall amounts up to 0.5 inches are expected over the area through the morning hours. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Mainly rural areas of Southeastern Phillips, Northeastern Rooks and Southwestern Smith Counties. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
