Northwestern Richland County in central South Carolina... * Until 345 PM EDT. * At 1247 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 2 to 3 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly. HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms producing flash flooding. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses. * Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Lexington, Irmo, Highway 6 at Lake Murray Dam, St. Andrews, Harbison State Forest, Ballentine, Seven Oaks, Lake Murray Marina, Pine Island, Lighthouse Marina, Upper Richland Fire Station, Bundrick Island and Cedar Creek Fire Station. This includes Interstate 26 between mile markers 97 and 105.
