FFWEWX The National Weather Service in Austin/San Antonio has issued a * Flash Flood Warning for... Central Kerr County in south central Texas... * Until 900 AM CDT. * At 300 AM CDT, emergency management reported thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 3 and 6 inches of rain have fallen. The expected rainfall rate is 2 to 4 inches per hour to continue. Flash flooding is already occurring with evacuations, escalating water rescues, and water beginning to enter structures. Rises are expected along the Guadalupe River as well. This is a FLASH FLOOD EMERGENCY for Hunt and Kerrville. This is a PARTICULARLY DANGEROUS SITUATION. SEEK HIGHER GROUND NOW! HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms producing flash flooding. SOURCE...Emergency management reported. IMPACT...This is a PARTICULARLY DANGEROUS SITUATION. SEEK HIGHER GROUND NOW! Life threatening flash flooding of low water crossings, small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses. * Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Kerrville, Ingram, Hunt, Kerrville-Schreiner Park and Waltonia.

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Move to higher ground now. Act quickly to protect your life. Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the dangers of flooding. Flooding is occurring or is imminent.
