Southwestern Cochise County in southeastern Arizona... * Until 115 AM MST. * At 1022 PM MST, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 0.5 and 1.5 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1 inch are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly. HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms. SOURCE...Radar and automated gauges. IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas. * Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Benson, Whetstone, Huachuca City, St. David, Tombstone, Kartchner Caverns State Park, Fort Huachuca, Mescal, Fairbank and Charleston. This includes the following highways... Route 90 between mile markers 290 and 316. Route 80 between mile markers 294 and 327. Interstate 10 near mile marker 302...and between mile markers 307 and 308. Route 82 between mile markers 47 and 67.
