The Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection has issued a Code PURPLE Air Quality Alert for Erie and Crawford Counties. The advisory is until midnight EDT Friday night. Wildfire smoke from northern Minnesota and south central Canada will continue to result in unhealthy air quality through Friday. All Pennsylvania residents should limit time outdoors, especially vulnerable populations, including small children, the elderly, and those with respiratory ailments.
