At 839 AM CDT, emergency management reported flash flooding ongoing across the warned area. Multiple roads are impassable across portions of downtown Dallas due to high water, with underpasses being the most impacted. Between 2 and 4 inches of rain have fallen. The expected rainfall rate is 2 inches in 1 hour. Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is already occurring. HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms producing flash flooding. SOURCE...Emergency management reported. IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses. Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Dallas, Plano, Garland, Irving, Grand Prairie, Mesquite, McKinney, Carrollton, Frisco, Richardson, Lewisville, Allen, Rowlett, Desoto and Wylie.

Trinity River At Dallas affecting Dallas County. * WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Trinity River at Dallas. * WHEN...From this evening to Saturday morning. * IMPACTS...At 30.0 feet, Minor lowland flooding will begin, and trails along the river begin to flood. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 8:30 AM CDT Friday the stage was 24.0 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage late this evening to a crest of 30.3 feet just after midnight tonight. It will then fall below flood stage late tonight. - Bankfull stage is 30.0 feet. - Flood stage is 30.0 feet.
